Introduction
by Hope_ful ini have been "lurking" (my apologies to anyone who is irritated or offended by that) for some time now.
i was raised as a jw - i had the dubious honor of being a presiding overseer's daughter.
my little bro and i were perfect little dubs (or is it "duds" ?!

WELCOME My family also continued to talk to me after I was dfed My mother always said no man living or dead could ever stop her from having a relationship with her children. Too bad mother in law doesn't think that way.

JW Superstitions
by sandy inyesterday i got home and i realized i accidentally brought a necklace with a cross on it from my boyfriend's house.. it was in a regular brown paper bag i put some of my things in.
i was lying in bed last night thinking about it wondering if i should take it outside.
i was afraid the demons were going to invade my house.. i decided to leave my tv on all night because we all know the demons will not bother you if your light or tv is on.

I was in this bar one evening when low and behold some old witness friends I grew up with were there all sisters. There brother who last I new was still at Bethel. They said hello and even accepted the drink I bought them. Ask about family and laugh and was having a good timeand then I offer ed a toast ohhh boy why did I do that. No toast to the demons they said HMMMM Boy have I been away a long time.

How Many Here Are DF'd, Disassociated Or Not Worried That They Might?
by minimus ini'm curious as to whether the majority of the board's disfellowshipped.
and i'm curious as to whether or not push came to shove, that you would not be overly distressed if you did wind up getting df'd........as time goes on, i am caring less.

YES YES YES Last night my daughter graduated from nursing school . I met her when she was 8 years old and her brother was 3. They are now 23 and 17. They have been great kids and love me . It made me feel so good inside to see her on that stage . The graduation was at this big catholic church and my wife (a witness) had no problem being at least not to me.Guess who else showed up. yep "The Letter" The one who can no longer speak to me or socialized with me. Grandma . I was not going to let her spoil my special occasion so I ignored her. After the ceramony when we where taking pictures said hello to me . Hmmmmmmm not her not in this system. Maybe she was trying to make the peace. Of coarse they would not eat there at the reception so they ask me if I wanted to go to dinner with them . I said no and I don't eat and talk with people who only speak to me when it's in there best intrest . S o off I went home and they went to dinner. Now I think I made the wrong desicion because I played into there game and gave them what tey wanted. Want happen anymore it's time I make the rules.

HELP! My JW parents are trying to steal my daughter
by calamityjane ini just phoned my daughter who is 23 years old, and she is graduating from college in toronto this june.
i thought because there were some great flight offers that i would be spontaneous and be there for her graduation and just do a mother daughter thing of celebrating.
well i just phoned her, to tell her that i would like to be there, and she hits me with the bombshell that my parents will be there and staying with her.

Have a nice time at the graduation. Don't let them take away the joy of seeing what you did and made sacrifices to get her there. Be proud If it were not for you this day would not be here YC
